FDM Congress 2011 in Vienna
From 27 to 29 August 2011, the “European Fascial Distortion Model Association EFDMA” is organizing a “World FDM Congress” in Vienna. On this occasion, both companions of model founder Dr. Stephen Typaldos DO as well as a large number of FDM therapists from all over the world come together to discuss technical topics and to promote the further development of FDM. The certified therapists are mostly doctors, physiotherapists or naturopaths with a focus on osteopathy.
The Fascia Distorsion Model (FDM) is a novel method for pain therapy in medicine. Formed from the Latin terms "fascia" (bundle) and "distorsio" (twisting / contortion), the FDM is used for pain in the area of the musculoskeletal system. The fascia distorsion model is used, among other things, for shoulder stabbing, shoulder pain, back pain, herniated discs, arthrosis, lumbago, knee pain (twisting, cruciate ligament rupture, etc.), sports injuries in any form and numerous other pain fields.
The congress will take place in Vienna's Wilhelminenberg Castle from August 27 to 29, 2011. The program includes events that highlight the development of the FDM. It also offers a look into the future of the new model. Interested parties can already register for the congress. (sb, Oct 21, 2010)
